Why choose the Payment Fee extension?
Flexible fee types: Choose a fixed amount (e.g. €0.30), a percentage of the invoice (e.g. 2.9%), or both together (e.g. 2.9% + €0.30), so you can match how real payment processors charge.
Min and max fee: Set a minimum fee so small orders still have a sensible charge, and a maximum so large orders don’t get an oversized fee.
Control who gets the fee: Optionally add the fee only when the invoice total is at or below a certain amount e.g. only for orders under €100 so bigger orders stay fee free.
Your own label: Name the fee whatever you want (e.g. “Payment Processing Fee”, “Gateway Fee”); it appears that way on the invoice and is handled correctly everywhere.
Clean invoice emails: The fee is added after the “new invoice” email is sent, so the first email shows the amount without the fee and stays clear and simple.
Clean invoice list: On the main invoices page, the fee line is hidden so customers see a short, clear list of items (e.g. “Hosting Service” instead of “Hosting Service, Payment Processing Fee”).
Full detail on the invoice: When a customer opens the invoice or downloads the PDF, they see the fee as a separate line with the correct total.
No core changes: Works as a standalone extension; no edits to Paymenter core, so updates are safe and nothing else is affected.
No double charges: The extension makes sure the fee is only added once per invoice, even if something runs twice.
Perfect for

- Shops that want one simple, flexible way to add a payment fee all while keeping invoice emails and the invoice list clean and professional
